Team Mongoose Tops Podium at ULT X in South Africa
Mongoose Pro Kevin Peraza took the win at the 2022 Ultimate X competition in beautiful Sun City, South Africa! Kevin’s been on the podium before, but this was his first-time in the top spot! Mongoose was well represented on the podium as our very own Pat Casey was right behind Kevin with a 2nd place finish.
Kevin was pumped to be back, but don’t take it from us – here’s what Kevin had to say:
“Being back in South Africa is always a treat. After not traveling internationally for 2 years I didn’t even know how to pack lol. But I did know how much fun it would be!!! It was a no brainer on going even knowing that I had to travel 30+ hours to make it. Ultimate-X is always a special event for me.
Everyone is so welcoming, from the event organizers, the workers, the fans, the skate community, filmers and photographers. They have become a long-distance family of friends to me. The event itself is awesome and so relaxed, not to mention all the adventures during the time there are so exciting, haha but most importantly just fun to ride. I couldn’t miss it and I’ll make it back any day.
Winning is always a bonus. I think I say this for everyone, just happy to go home healthy and with this win even more motivated then when I arrived to continue chasing those top spots at the next events coming up. There is always room for progress and perfection, but I will cherish this win as I truly enjoyed every second of it.”
