From winning Dew Tour Dirt in 2010 on his BMX bike to making in it to Crankworx JoyRide on his Mountain Bike, you can say Mongoose pro Josh Hult loves all things bikes! While Josh hold’s down a full-time job and wasn’t planning on any big trips, he’s still feeling the COVID19 pain of not being able to go hang out with friends. The good news is his family time has been on point! We recently caught up with Josh to see what he has been up to.
So, what have you been doing with yourself to keep busy at home?
Josh: For the most part I’ve actually been really busy during this whole thing. I have a full-time job that hasn’t slowed down much at all. On top of that I have been working on my house. I was able to completely finish my basement. So now I’m open and free to start building my backyard setup for riding!
What do you miss most about MTB right now?
Josh: I really miss road trips and riding new places! Since I have my few local spots I can still ride I have enjoyed being able to sneak in a few good solo sessions.
What are you looking forward to most when everything returns back to normal?
Josh: I’m really looking forward to a new sense of gratitude for being able to hang with friends. I’ve always loved seeing people I don’t get to see very often but I have a feeling everyone is going to be super pumped and grateful to have those opportunities again!
How’s it going with everything with your family and this? I see you made your kids a fun trampoline park! Ha.
Josh: We have been really enjoying our time together, more family time has been such a good thing for us. My kids have been killing it on the trampoline and on their bikes around the house. My youngest drove the 4-wheeler today all by himself for the first time and I’m pretty sure his motorcycle is next!
Any advice for people trying to find something to do to pass the time?
My best advice would have to be to take advantage of the time you have either with family or on your own. This is going to be a period you look back at later in life and instead of focusing on fear and boredom try and use it to your advantage to grow as a person!
