Mongoose pro Kevin Peraza continued to cement his BMX legacy by winning his 8th X Games Gold medal at the recent Salt Lake City event. "During X Games in Salt Lake City, Mongoose gave me the chance to gift a brand-new SCAN 6.0 complete bike from DICK'S Sporting Goods to someone special. With so many kids around enjoying the show, and showing love for BMX, it was hard to choose just one, until I met Brody in the athlete lounge.
His kindness, positivity, and love for BMX stood out immediately. Despite facing health issues challenging his day-to-day life and needing a kidney transplant soon, he was all smiles, loving and enjoying his first X Games with his family.
Hearing he didn’t have a bike of his own and watching the instant joy of him riding my personal bike, I knew this SCAN 6.0 was meant for him.
I hope it brings him joy for days to come and keeps his spirits high through his journey. Who knows, maybe even winning an X Games medal one day.
