Cams Road Trip to Mulwala Freestyle Sports Expo

So this past week and a bit has been pretty full on, but full on is good I guess. We went down to Victoria to do a show at the Mulwala freestyle sports expo. Each year I do this show with Gary Reid's Yamaha Freestyle Team, monster trucks and us. We went down a couple of days early to build the jump and ride it in. The shows turned out great and it was a lot of fun despite the wind!
After the show we drove back to Canberra and then the following day we did 2 days of filming for Unit. We rode the yard and the local parks. It was awesome fun seeing as though the weather held out perfect for us, so the yard session in the morning was awesome. I haven't had a big session in the yard since last year, so to hit the massive jumps again was so much fun. They really are huge when you haven't rode them for about a year. After the 2 days of filming for unit we went up to Sydney to do some interviews for the jam. I went on the Fox Sports Long Lunch and did a live interview with them, followed by the sake show on Fuel TV, Corbin Presents. Once we were back from Sydney we thought what a better way to spend our Saturday by going fishing down the coast. We hooked on the boat and off we went for a boys fishing trip. We caught a few fish, but only one of them was big enough to keep. good times had by all, especially on the drive home when the boys were seeing how many drinks they could have before we got back to my house!
Then next day after our fishing trip we had the Colony BMX team come by the yard for a session followed by a late arvo session and then a big ol BBQ to end the day. It was awesome watching Jaie Toohey ride the yard. What a treat it is to see that kid doing the most sideways boosted flips on the last set as well as Ryan Guettler throwing down some sweet stunts!!! The BBQ went off in good ol fashion as BMX BBQs do.
