Back in my heyday of the mid 90's it was guys like Ryan Nyquist, Dave Mirra, Matt Hoffman, Joe Rich and Taj. But today Dave Mirra and Nyquist are still rockin it LARGE, TJ Lavin, Nasty, Scotty Cranmer and me old mate cam White really inspire me. |
| What are your interests outside of riding? |
| I was keen on wakeboarding until my old boy sold his boat. I enjoy fishing when the bites are on but snags suck. Right now I love cooking up a mean BBQ (no shrimps though) and my golf game has picked right up so I’m having fun with that. |
| Who were your heroes as a kid? |
| Hero's as a kid!? Damn........Ummmmmm. Probably the kid down the street that could jump anything I built first try. I think his name was P-Dubs. |
| Who are your heroes now? |
| Josh Mete. People who have trouble doing a plain 360 on a spine but will pull a 360 double whip and pull it smooth also get hero status. Luke Parslow. One of the local-ish lads I knew growing up riding dirt. Luke has mad skills. He influenced a lot of my tricks. Watching him bust flips and whips and superman seat grabs back in the day over the 'barrel' jump was truly death defying. I had him on super seat grabs but everything else he did 2-3ft bigger. Now he goes upside down twice and front ways. Dialed!!!! |
| If you could ride with anyone who would it be? |
| Always love a solid session with the local boys but if it was to be extended I would invite Segio Layos, Bohan, Guettler and Cam White down to M-town to get down. |
| If you were stuck on a desert island what three things would you bring with you? |
| Well if it was a dessert island I would take a spoon but desert island??? Fishing rod, knife, and my George Foreman deluxe grill. |

| Right now I’m into a bit of old metal like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mega Death, Slayer. But last week it was Aussie hip-hop and Gansta Gansta with a dash of Slim Shady. |
| Career Highlights: |
| Going to China for Comps and shows is always a treat. Riding awesome places like SMP Shanghai and big dirt jumps like Cam Whites house and pretty much anything that RedBull build. They like to build large. Winning the Beijing X-games in 2007 was amazing. First win where you get huge novelty checks and stuff. You’re a star for 10 minutes then its back reality. Pros would be used to it though. It would be nice to have house with a pool room full of novelty checks... |
