Profile
Tell us about your hometown, how you grew up, who influenced you, and what shaped your life the most.
I grew up in a suburb called Linmeyer in the south of Johannesburg, South Africa. My brother Brad is only a couple of years older than me so we did everything together... well I guess I probably did everything he did. The rest of my family has also been a huge part in making me who I am.
Have any advice or words of wisdom for up-and-coming riders?
Learn how to fall! Ha ha. My dad told me that once and I thought it was brilliant. I believe you really can do what ever you want to do. The only thing holding you back is fear but it also drives people
If you didn't ride, what would you be doing?
I'd probably be making films or in the TV industry.
What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
My biggest accomplishment so far is being able to live off something I love doing.
What is the first trick you learned and which one do you dream about landing?
The first trick I learned was probably a one footer or a one hander. I don't dream about specific tricks, I dream about finding unique street set ups that will challenge my riding and my mind.
What is on your plate at your last meal on earth and who is around your table?
That's easy... I'd have my mom cook a massive roast for all of my family and a few close friends.
