Cam White Update

7/21/2009 •

It’s been a minute since my last update; it’s been a very hectic few weeks. After the Dew Tour I went up to Wisconsin and did some stuff for Mongoose up there, it was a nice change and I enjoyed the cool weather. After that I flew home and got straight into the digging in Lavs yard to prepare the jumps for the 4th of July 10-year anniversary jam. The wind held out great for the morning session but as the day went on the wind picked up as it usually does in Vegas. During the heat of the day Lavs and I did some riding for Monster, filmed some stuff and took some still shots as well. It was a lot of fun riding in the heat when most other people were chilling indoors trying not to get heat stroke but the heat and the wind didn't stop us riding the arvo session either, drinking heaps of Monster Energy drink, eating Fat Burger and listening to DJ Presto One spin up some sweet ass tunes on the new Kicker stereo system that is now hooked up through the yard.

The session was pretty gnarly with a lot of hectic trains and over-unders going on through the lines. I think such a big lead up to the jam of digging and riding did a number on my back so from then on out I haven't been able to ride my bike. I’ve been having a few crashes lately and my body is tired and beat. The only way to fix that is rest, so I’m off my bike for another week or so and then will be back in full force 100% ready for the Dew Tour in Portland.

In the meantime I have been in LA at the Maloof Money Cup signing autographs for Skeletal Metal.  It was a lot of fun hanging out there and Skeletal Metal has an awesome BMX team that consists of Nasty, Lavs, TJ Ellis, Nate Berkheimer and A-Naps so u know it was a good time had by all hanging out there for a few days and mashing to and from Vegas in a private jet.

Next step for me is to rest up my back 100% so I can ride and feel good on my bike. Two days ago was the first day that I could put on my own socks since the 3rd of July. I guess that's what happens when you get old hahahaha.

Cheers, Cam.
